The short answer

Chaparral is a 1990s and 2000s lake community on Calgary's southern edge, with a private 32-acre lake and a homeowner lake fee. A good agent prices lakefront, lake-view and interior homes separately and knows how ridge and valley-edge homes sell. We've handled 12 Chaparral transactions since 2016, for buyers and sellers.

Choosing an agent

Three questions to ask a Chaparral realtor

  1. 1How do lakefront, lake-view and interior Chaparral homes compare, and what does the lake fee cover?
  2. 2How have homes like mine sold in Chaparral over the last 90 days, and what did they sell for compared with list price?
  3. 3Who will I work with day to day, and how quickly do you respond when homes are moving fast?

In their words

From a client in Chaparral

★★★★★

“Highly recommend Tod, Tausha & Madison if you're looking for experienced realtors to sell or buy. They were super patient showing us houses for a few months & never pressured us into buying. When we realized that we actually wanted to build, they supported us through that process as well, making sure we were not taken advantage of, and helped with selections along the way. When it came time to sell our old house, they advised us extremely well on pricing, staging, & negotiations, and our house sold in 5 days for asking price! They constantly checked in and made sure we prepared for each step. They are beyond sweet with gifts & mementos to celebrate, and they even included our kids as well. We really felt taken care of & like we were an extension of their family. We are grateful that we ran into them at a random open house last year & would recommend them without hesitation!”
